Below is a collection of useful resources from reputable government, professional and non-profit organizations. 

Emergency Numbers

National Suicide Prevention Lifeline:  1-800-273-TALK (8255) - 24 hrs a day, every day.

Orange County Centralized Assessment Team (CAT):   866-830-6011 - It is a mobile assessment team that will respond to psychiatric emergencies in the community; available 24 hrs a day, every day. For safety purposes, CAT may be assisted by the police/sheriff when called to a scene; they can assist with referrals and transportation to inpatient programs if necessary.

Orange County Psychiatric Evaluation and Treatment Services (ETS): (714) 834-6900 - a 10 bed evaluation facility for people without insurance. 

Hospitals

These local hospitals provide urgent psychiatric evaluations in their emergency rooms and inpatient facilities:

UCI Neuropsychiatric Institute:  101 The City Drive, Orange, CA 92868;  (714) 456-7890; hospital has psychiatric inpatient programs for adolescents, adults, and older adults; has partial hospitalization program for adolescents.

South Coast Medical Center:  31872 Coast Highway, Laguna Beach, CA 92651; (949) 499-7501; hospital has a psychiatric inpatient and partial hospitalization program.

College Hospital:  301 Victoria St, Costa Mesa, CA 92627; (949) 642-2734; (800) 773-8001; hospital has psychiatric inpatient programs for adults and adolescents; it also has a partial hospitalization program for adults.

St. Joseph’s Hospital:  1100 W. Stewart Drive, Orange, CA 92868; (714) 771-8134; has inpatient programs for adults for psychiatric, dual diagnosis, and eating disorders.

Newport Bay Hospital: 1501 E. 16th Street, Newport Beach, CA 92663; 949-650-9750; an inpatient psychiatric hospital for adults.

Western Medical Center Anaheim:  1025 South Anaheim Blvd, Anaheim, CA, 92805; 714-533-6220; has inpatient psychiatric program for adults.

Western Medical Center Santa Ana:  1001 N Tustin Ave, Santa Ana, CA 92705; 714-953-3500; has inpatient program for seniors.
